ONSITE LINEN PORTER
We are seeking a reliable and physically fit Porter to manage the day-to-day delivery and collection of linen at a hospital site in Gold Coast. This hands-on role involves working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment, ensuring hospital wards are supplied with clean linen to the high standards expected by Ensign.
- Casual position
- $25.14 per hour + 25% casual loading + super
- Work available across the week
Darra Laundry is part of Linen Service Australia, the largest textiles management and laundry operator in Australasia. Our Linen Laundry plants manage the textile and laundry requirements of customers in the healthcare, accommodation, hospitality and aged care sectors.
Key responsibilities include handling linen trolleys, communicating with hospital staff and the Ensign team, and maintaining professional standards of safety, hygiene, and behaviour. The role requires physical activity such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
Candidates must be willing to participate in vaccination and infection control programs in line with healthcare requirements.
Job duties include:
- Packing linen trolleys
- Delivering and collecting trolleys with linen across the hospital to wards and other areas
- Providing excellent customer service
- Entering linen order details into a tablet
- Various other duties in a large linen room.
- Following safe work procedures
Skills and experience
- No formal qualifications are required
- All training will be provided.
- Good fitness level, the role has physically aspects, so a good level of mobility is required.
- Ability to read and understand instructions and apply the information to your work

Please note: As a pre-requisite for this role, candidates will be required to undertake a Pre-Employment Medical including Drug and Alcohol testing and Immunisations. The successful applicant must have ownership of a current driver licence and a reliable vehicle and be willing to undertake a National Level Police Clearance including WWCC.
